National Library of Korea
CPI for librarians at the National Library of Korea began in June this year and was over on October 26th, 2018 with a presentation session by participants. Over the past 5 months, they have conducted individual research activities and participated in various programs including library visits, cultural tours and visits to related organizations.

Library Visit
Participants visited National Library of Korea, National Assembly Library of Korea, National Library of Korea at Sejong and National Library for Children and Young Adults. They have also visited Jang-seo-gak, royal library of Chosun Dynasty as well as Naver Library run by Naver. At the same time, they also visited various types of libraries in Korea including Gusan-dong Library Village which is a leading public library created as a part of community re-development project.
Culture Tour
CPI participants attended Nanta performance in Seoul and visited different cities in Korea including Gwangju, Jeju and Andong to learn more about traditional Korean culture while experiencing special food for Dano and Chuseok. In addition, they attended Seoul International Book Fair which is the largest book festival in Korea as well as Byeolmadang Library in Coex, a popular destination for book readers in order to directly experience the book market in Korea.
Visits to Cultural Organizations
CPI participants visited various national culture centers including National Hangeul Museum, National Museum of Korea, National Archives of Korea, and Academy of Korean Studies, Additionally, they had chances to experience technological development in Korea by visiting Samsung Delight and Arirang TV.
