This commitment has contributed significantly to developing a vibrant ecosystem for international cultural exchange and nurturing the sustainable growth of Hallyu.
In 2018, KOFICE was officially designated as the institution in charge of international cultural exchange by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, marking a major milestone in our development.

Today, diverse aspects of Korean culture—including drama series, films, and music—captivate audiences worldwide to elevate K-content and K-culture to international prominence.
Korea is increasingly recognized as a leading cultural presence, with K-content gaining global attention and expanding the country’s soft power reach.
For over two decades, KOFICE has played a key role in advancing international cultural exchange by planning and supporting exchange programs, conducting research, providing information, building domestic and international networks, and nurturing professionals in the sector.
